Heritage on wheels.
Placing our trust.
Avon Cycles began with a simple belief in self-reliance, enterprise and trust. After starting with bicycle trading in 1947, cycle parts manufacturing in 1948 and incorporation in 1951. Built in Ludhiana by the Pahwa family, the brand grew from a post-partition beginning into one of India’s most recognised bicycle manufacturers.
Over the decades, Avon expanded its manufacturing capabilities, strengthened its dealer network, entered exports and built a reputation around reliability, accessibility and value. Its journey reflects Indian industry’s growth from early manufacturing challenges to scale, integration and national presence.
Every Great Journey Has a Beginning
In the years following India's independence, the Pahwa Brothers envisioned providing the common man with an affordable and reliable means of mobility. Beginning with a small manufacturing unit for bicycle saddles and brakes in 1948, they laid the foundation for what would become one of India's most trusted bicycle brands.
Built on quality, ethical business practices, and customer trust, Avon quickly earned the confidence of riders and dealers alike, establishing a reputation that continues to define the brand today.
As demand grew, Avon expanded into a fully integrated manufacturing powerhouse, producing almost every major bicycle component in-house. Continuous investment in technology, innovation, and world-class manufacturing enabled the company to maintain exceptional quality while keeping bicycles affordable.
Today, Avon Cycles stands as one of India's leading bicycle manufacturers, combining decades of heritage with modern engineering to deliver trusted mobility across India and around the world.
